Ok, went to Dr. today, and I'm happy about my test so far.

My colesteral is lower, my blood pressure better.  I'v lost more weight.  (yea)
Actually, all my test came out great, except the dang Platlets.  They are low.  But Iv had alot of stress lateley, and I know it effects it.  So , need to watch them.  Oh well, over all great results.  Another year done.  Yea.

Got my flu shot also,  hope it works this year. lol

 

My mom and I are great friends.  We talk daily, and sometimes, a couple times a day. 

She has been sick, this week, we ended up in the emergency room.  I really think, we have it all figured out.  Love you mom 

Fall is hear in Montana.  I love that it is warm during the day, and cool at night. 

 

The leaves are starting to change, and gardens are drying up.   

 

The birds have started gathering( they started about a month ago) but are worst now.

It always reminds me of the movie the "Birds", because all the black birds are stocking up on food.  It is suppose to rain and snow next eek.  I don't know if I'm ready for it or not.  But, It is a beautiful time of year.  We call it Indian Summer.

 

 

Our baby, Star, passed away yesterday.  We had her for 12 years.  She was a great dog.  We are really going to miss her. 

I can't believe it is only Tuesday.  Marty has a commissioner meeting tonight.  He really does not like going to them any more.  Hopefully, tonights will be short.  He sang a retirement song at lunch to the music: tommorrow, tormmorrow.  lol

When he does retire, I hope he is happy.  I use to always say, when you going to retire.  But I quit about a year ago.  He loves Park and Rec.  So if he is happy, that is all that matters.  But, the things that are going on within, the rest of the city, are not good.  I wish they would quit flowing over to his department.

It's 85 today.  Worked in the yard, all morning.  I keep thinking, I should be going down to work in the basement.  Need to finish the painting of the ceiling.  lol   But, the outdoors, calls me.

Had my mom at the doctor yesterday.  They did a dementia test,  Good news,  she has mild case.  But she is 86 years old.  Very common for people her age.  The doctor, has decided to treat her for depression.  She has been having a lot of symptoms of it.  ( Understandable, her little brother is not doing real well).  My mom is a worrier, lol, runs in the family.  Also, they found out her B12 was so low, that she has to have shots.  If you research B12, it can effect your metabolism, which can make your brain slugish. 
Im excited, I think she is going to start feeling so much better.

Today was a tough day. 
I walked down to my neighbors house, Barb.  She has lung cancer, that has spread through her body.   We had a nice visit.  Only about 5 minutes, as she sleeps most of the day.  When I got ready to leave,  I told her, I loved her, and If she needed anything, I was right down the road.  She leaned in, hugged my hand, and said:  I just wish this was over. 

What do you say.  Her son, said she isnt suffering. I want her to be at peace. I think her husband Tuck, is calling her up to heaven. 

Our Uncle Tom, had muscle dimensia.  I had never heard of it before, he got it. 
Today, he had to go into an assistant house.  He broke his wrist, in a fall.  He no longer, can use his walker.  And, Aunt Carol, can not lift him.  It breaks my heart.  Carol said, its like his mind is on one side of his body, and his musceles, are on the other side.  I worry about Carol.  I don't want her to end up sick, from exhaustion.
I worry about my mom,  her little brothers is not doing very well. 

I pray for Signe,  Liz's little girl, she use to Nanny.  She is at Mayo, brain cancer.  I can't even imagine.  My prayers go out to her and her family.

And Great Grandpa!!!! 101 years old.  Each day, when the phone rings, or a family member leaves a message, you wonder:  Is grandpa, ok, has he passed. 


Life is so very short.  I learned very young, how valuable life is. 
I pray for a cure, for all the cancer and immune diseases, and other diseases, in the world.

Fall is coming.  Warm during the day and cool at nite.  It makes it so nice for sleeping. 

It also means Christmas and snow are just around the corner. I think I will try and make alot of my gifts this year. I love pinterest, it has wonderful ideas.

 

 

Have a great September

I love this floor.  I think it would look great in the basement.  

It will be a lot of work, but I'm up for it.

I'v painted the basement a mustard color.  I love it.  Next week, my brother-in-law, is lending me a spray painter.  I have decided to paint the ceiling.  Not sure what color, but, I'm excited.   All the wood, and furnace pipes will be the same color.  

Our dog Star, is getting old.  He is funny.  For the first time this year, he let the sprinkler get him wet.  lol  He hates water.  I think as he gets older, he doesnt care any more. 

Star has two different color eyes.  Its wierd how the dark one, is glowing, and the blue one is not.   

Danalli, is our old cat.  He is so verbal.  It amazes me that we always know what he wants.  Is new thing is sitting at door, in at low mew, lets us know he wants to go out on his leash.  He loves the outdoors. 

Yesterday we trimmed one of our tall trees.  I couldn't believe all the seeds on it.  With the drought, it surprised us. Summer is almost over.  The flowers have started yellowing, and I believe they have their last flowers. 

I believe fall is coming.   Yesterday, the high was 56.  Amazing, the day before was 94 and today its already almost 80.  The birds are all starting to gather.  It is a sign.  Fall in Montana is so beautiful.  The tree's all change, and it gets cool at nite.  Not sure I'm ready for winter, but it will come, even if I'm not.

Great Grandpa 101





This weekend is an amazing weekend, but yet a hard weekend.  Great Grandpa turns 101.  He is an amazing man. 
But, Liz and Dan have there going away party.  I'm excited for them to move to Maine, but very sad.  It is a long way from Montana.  Yea for cell phones. 

Happy news.  Marty and I are celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary on Monday.  It seems like yesterday that we got married.  Love him so much. 

Today I got to hold Easton for the first time.  It's hard to believe he is two weeks old.  So little.  We forget that our kids where once that little.  Tahnee is a great mom, and Liz is a great auntie.  

Today is my first time to use this program.  It is exciting, to try something new.  It's beautiful in Montana today.  80 degree's.  The best part is it cools off at night.  Off to Fairfield to see my mom.
